I'm getting married this July. I want my wedding colors to be bold. So, for now, my primary colors are coral, teal and chocolate brown. I'm accenting the colors with ivory and gold. What you you guys think? Do they go well together?
If my bridemaids dresses are coral, what color should the bouquet be? Should I include teal flowers...maybe dyed teal hydrangeas? Does anyone have pictures they could share with me of bouquet that have teal flowers in them?
Thanks for any suggestions or feedback you may have!
Wedding Colors: Coral, Teal, Brown???
I think those are beautiful colors. I would make the dresses brown, with maybe a teal sash and then have the bouquet be coral, but I will look for teal bouquets anyway.
I found a pretty coral and ivory bouquet

EDIT: The more I'm looking, the more I think you might want to pick either teal or coral as a main color and then use the other as an accent. They might be overwhelming with a lot of both.
Reply:OMG, that sounds gorgeous!
we're using light blue, green, brown and white.
well as far as the dresses, if they're coral, then you should put a little teal in the flowers, orange and blue are complementary colors (teal and coral are close enought to orange and blue)
so when you put them together, they really pop!
Reply:I think those colors sound lovely together, but the impact of the "boldness" is lessened by having so many colors. For example, why ivory AND gold? One lighter accent should be enough, unless you just mean gold jewelry. I think that coral is a tough color for bridesmaid dresses - it's not a flattering tone on most people! I'd go with chocolate brown or teal dresses with the coral sash, and ivory flowers with ribbon that's whatever color you didn't choose for the dresses. I'd really try to avoid dyed flowers... natural is prettier...
That's just my humble opionion! I'm sure it will all be beautiful no matter what. Congrats!
Reply:Coral and teal would be lovely, but skip the brown - it will dull things down. If you want another color, maybe a soft yellow.
I think the BM bouquets would look lovely if they had a full variety of colors and types of flowers - of course, including the coral and the teal would be the greenery - you could have coral and teal trailing ribbons.

Reply:Chocolate Brown and Ivory for sure but the bouquet has to be ivry with soft greens and soft pinks in it or you will have a garish (yucky) bunch of colours Coral is too much for bridesmaids please ask them all what they think Congratulations hope it is beautiful
Reply:hey nicole, I too got married in July...I just sent you a link
Reply:i love Coral and brown. Teal and White flowers would be neat w/ maybe a few coral colored ribbons! Do you have pictures of the dresses?
Reply:Are you sure you want coral and teal together?
Reply:The colors sound lovely.
Since the dresses are coral, then peach/some ivory flowers like the peonies, hydrangeas, roses and even blue bells. (Be careful not to overdue the flowers with sweet scents because it will overpower the food which is a big turn off for some guests.) Add gold/choclate for the jewellry accent pieces in them.
You can have the teal (I'm thinking as an accent color more) for the decorations, the jewellry for the hair or to wear as earrings/necklaces/bracelets, and even part of the flowers on the's suit (the boutonnier).
A chocolate sash %26amp; open toed shoes is one way. Or try gold in that same combination.
Hope that helps.
Reply:I have a friend who wanted bold colors too. She had an august wedding and they wore teal. (a very pretty color from Alfred angelo) their flowers are what set off the dresses. They held bouquets with orange (tiger lillies are beautiful next to teal), purple, yellow and hot pink. It looked very pretty.
