My bridesmaid dresses are red (apple) and i don't have any idea what color flowers i should have them carry. I am having a white bouquet with hydrangeas, roses, lilies, etc. and i wanted them to have a similar, but smaller version of that. The only problem is that not all of the flowers come in red and i thought that the red dresses and red flowers would be too "blood-like."
Flowers to go with red bridesmaid dress???
how about red roses %26amp; white lillies with a bit of greenery in it
Reply:I would go with all white with a red ribbon to match the dresses or go with white with some red roses or carnations
although be careful with white roses they are very delicate and will brown

Reply:The roses can be red and everything else white. (they can also spray the tips of the hydrangea if you would like...the lilies too :) )
Reply:pink, red, an white flowers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lots of bright green leaves!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:They shouldn't have red flowers. Either have them have the smaller white versions of yours, or maybe just a lovely mixed bouquet -

Reply:Try off-white to pale yellow for something tasteful.
If you're not afraid to make a statement, try deep purples.
Reply:white roses, they will be stunning, and maybe add crystals
Reply:Your florist can dye or color the tips of just about any flower. Honestly, I think just a bouquet of lillies with baby's breath would be beautiful.
Reply:I think that they would look wonderful. You can also only use a couple of the flowers not all of them. They'd match but not be matchy- matchy:)
Reply:Have them carry an ivory or cream lily. That way your bridal bouquet will stand out but they will be in the same color scheme.
Reply:White flowers would really stand out and be beautiful
Reply:Yellow or pink.
Reply:you could go with lillies as there a nice flower or even cream roses hope you have a great wedding.
Reply:We have similar colors as you (apple, white, and silver accents). Our BM's are wearing the apple color, too. I am planning on having them carry a hand-tied bouquet consisting of three Gerber Daisies with the colors: Orange, Red, and Yellow (one of each). My bouquet will be 24 red roses. I hope this helps some. I just thought that having some related colors, but not wedding colors in their bouquet would give some visual variety to it all. Good luck!
Reply:ivory roses!!!
Reply:I think white/pink roses would be lovely.
Reply:white flowers are really pretty with a red dress.
Reply:Hi and congratulations!
There are lots of questions from brides regarding flowers. I always say the same thing....but it's true...and that is:
~ Look through bridal magazines to get ideas!
~ Go and meet with A FLORIST! That is their business. You do not have to know what you want before you go in. They also have many, many books of previous weddings and they are there to guide you, help you with a decision, suggest flowers, and work within your budget!
Here are my ideas:
~ DON'T have red flowers and red dresses....that won't look right.
~ I love the contrast of say....you having RED flowers...and your bridesmaids carrying white flowers. That looks great in pictures.
~ OR...just have a mixture of bright flowers for your bridesmaids....with some reds and other colors.
Good luck and, again my suggestion is to meet with a florist to help with a decision.
Reply:please get white roses!
Reply:white flowers would be beautiful. keep it simple
Reply:i think white roses would look nice

Reply:White, yellow, pink, and a few red.
Reply:Use red and white flowers
Reply:I think that just white flowers with some greenery would be very pretty for them to carry. Maybe Cala Lillies would be nice.
I agree that you don't need red flowers in their bouquets
Reply:You can give them a mixture of red and white flowers. For example, use red roses and leave all other flowers white. It'll give the bouquets a flair without overdoing them.
Reply:Have them hold a single white rose or another large white flower. Maybe wrap a red ribbon around the stem. It would look very classy.
Reply:white roses, purple irises, maybe some red roses thrown in and some greenery. The purple irises will really stand out against a red dress. White roses %26amp; pink stargazer lillies would be pretty too.
Reply:You can do a smaller version of your bouquet for the bridesmaids. If you don't want to go with red for them you can still use roses, lillies and hydrangea since those flowers come in a variety of colors. You could possibly do theirs with red and white, maybe red roses or white or the redish colored lillies and white hydrangea.Or you can have them carry a bouquet that's totally different with any combination of gerbera daisies, daisies, carnations, wild flowers, etc. We recently did a wedding and the bridesmaids wore dark dresses, the bride chose bouquets of mixed colored gerbera daisies and it was very nice...
Reply:you need to speak to your florist. Peach, orange, yellow, red, white, pink, lavender all can go with a red dress if arranged properly and in correct scheme. I see no reason why they canot have a small version of your bouquet, the flowers do not all need to be red, use all white, or a pretty mix like I suggested above,
